Excitement as the new Bouldering Rock opens.
September 15, 2014
Students from the Grampians Region were the first kids to use the new bouldering rock which was opened at the start of Term 3.
There was high excitment as the fence was removed and the children were allowed to experience the climbing. While some children climbed around the wall, most children simply wanted to climb to the top of the rock, sit down and enjoy the view.
The bouldering rock, which is located on the asphalt area in front of the sleeping huts, has become a central hub for children on camp to play, climb and socialise.
The bouldering Rock was built to provide the children with an activity that they could use in their freetime which would extend our Rock Climbing program but also to encourage the children to do this in a self directed activity.
